Anti-child watch: Iphone's Baby Shaker makes a game of Shaken Baby Syndrome

Yet another indication of a nation in decline:

Apple has pulled a controversial iPhone application that allows users to shake their phones violently to make a picture of an infant stop crying. The 99-cent download, called Baby Shaker, drew harsh criticism across the Internet after its release on Monday by software developer Sikalosoft.

Apple has pulled a controversial iPhone application that allows users to shake their phones violently to make a picture of an infant stop crying.

The 99-cent download, called Baby Shaker, drew harsh criticism across the Internet after its release on Monday by software developer Sikalosoft.

"It was removed today from the (application) store," said Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris Wednesday.

She wouldn't comment on why it was removed, nor would she say whether the company had fielded any complaints from the public.

The introduction to the application may offer a clue.

"On a plane, on the bus, in a theatre. Babies are everywhere you don't want them to be! They're always distracting you from preparing for that big presentation at work with their incessant crying . . . See how long you can endure his or her adorable cries before you just have to find a way to quiet the baby down!" the introduction reads.

Baby Shaker dares users to see how long they can stand a baby's cries before shaking it to death. Once the baby is "dead," red Xs appear over its eyes.

Reported by the Calgary Herald.

We can all take further pride in our cultural heritage knowing that Apple has also introduced a Poop the World app - which is still going strong, I suppose.

Sometimes I just want to scream "what is wrong with people!" Only I know what's wrong with people - without Christ we're all sick and twisted and there's nothing good in us.

I was thoroughly disgusted as I watched the news broadcast this story last night. What is our world coming to???

And to top that off, trying to explain the effects of shaking a baby violently--child abuse to my 16 year old son. He has been so shielded for the most part from the horrors of the world, that he had never heard of this crime and naturally wanted to know why all the uproar and complaints.

And what about our society trying to feed our youth the lie that babies are unwanted and a great inconvenience??

At 16, most teenagers are in awe over all these gadgets and want them badly. Now these gadgets will and can be used as another tool to further the decline of the family and our society.

It definitely has opened up a lot of topics for discussion within my own teenaged family.

My jaw has hit the floor! How could they be so...cruel??!! What rotten people!!! I'm going to send a complaint that they would even allow that as an idea!!! How many babies would have been killed because someone got so used to the idea that they would actually act on it?? Makes me sick.

This is truly horrifying.

How utterly grotesque. I have sent this to my two teenage sons.
I want them to see where even the most apparently innocuous elements of our culture are drifting.

It's really painful to watch this ghastly unravelling of society.

Unbelievable and totally sick. The onslaught against right thinking is overwhelming, truly.

Vital Signs did a post on this subject a few days ago, and encouraged people to complain.

I can speak for them getting at least one complaint, and I'm certainly not the only one who wrote in. When Vital Signs ran the entry, the app was still available- I think the complaints are what got it removed.
