Obama: narcissism, disloyalty and dishonor

obamachavez.jpg I know I said I'm too busy to post today, but I've gotta comment on Laura Ingraham's show this morning. She's and I are on the same page when it comes to Obama's obvious personality disorder: his narcissism and his insatiable need for adulation.

There has been news aplenty about his latest exploits - bowing deeply to Saudi's King Abdullah, shaking hands with Chavez, accepting a drastically anti-American book from a dictator who referred to Bush as Satan and just last month called Obama himself an ignoramus, blaming the US for Mexico's drug cartels, listening passively to South American rants about the US - and through it all being obviously driven to become the most POPULAR leader of all.

A sad moment in US history: Obama's Great American Apology tour. It is really quite a phenomenon to see the leader of our country doing everything he can to disparage our nation while disassociating himself from the country whose basic fairness and goodness is attested to by the fact that he was elected president. But Obama's contempt for our country gives him more in common with Chavez and Ortega than with U.S. conservatives - and he wants everyone to know that. He's proud of it.

What strikes me is how much he looks like a little boy who won a contest at school and gets to be Principal for a Day. The ridiculously radiant smile he flashes ruthless American-hating dictators, the "aw-shucks" plain ol' guy from the hood familiarity and his insatiable need for attention and affirmation from political bullies - this is just so abnormal. I mean, if he wanted to create a rapprochement, that's one thing, but his over-the-top personal hunger is quite unsettling.

Hey, is this emotionally needy man on the world stage or the school playground? He seems completely unwilling to assume the dignified mantle of U.S. leadership in his obsession to be liked. As I've mentioned before, it reminds me so much of Sally Field as an aging daytime TV star in Soap Dish who needs periodic trips to the shopping mall, where fans will surround her and ask for autographs. Yesterday's carefully staged trip to the CIA was reported by the Obamedia from the obvious talking points (since they all use the exact same terminology given to them by the White House): "rock star" reception and "rock star" visit.

The marriage of politics and the entertainment industry has been terrible news for an already dumbed-down electorate. Bombarding the citizenry with soppy People spreads on the Obama's romantic history etc. keeps voters confused with hero-worship and incapable of evaluating important political questions.

Maddy asked me the other day when we could finally be able to stop seeing the Obama's images surrounding us everywhere we go - I'm actually afraid that the answer is never, that as in any good dictatorship, his image will continue to be omnipresent. And the over-familiarity and lack of dignity - a result of his adulation addiction - is so seedy. Look at this cover of our local supposedly sophisticated magazine, The Washingtonian:

InThisIssueObama.jpg

And get a load of how they use it to market their magazine:

26 Reasons to Love Washington
Get the cover everyone is talking about! Subscribe to The Washingtonian online by May 1st, and we'll mail you our "26 Reasons to Love Washington" issue as a bonus.

Wow, that's certainly going to help other world leaders respect our leader.

Is it because of the feminist-driven and demasculinization of US men that we have lost all understanding of the archetypal way in which real men evaluate each other? We will all pay the price for Obama's need to be "popular" internationally because these ruthless rulers are sure to be taking stock of him and gaining confidence as they see how easily he can be manipulated.

It's like an addict who constantly needs a fix. And his addiction keeps him weak and vulnerable. How sad to know that unless this twice-abandoned little boy/textbook narcissist (which I firs wrote about on 10//31/08 - then again on 3/18/09)somehow grows up (finding a real relationship with his Heavenly Father), the attention he gets will never, ever be enough.

Rick Warren's first sentence in The Purpose-Driven Life is "It's not about you." One can only hope that Obama might realize that someday soon

Love,

Fist bumps for Chavez!

God help us.

Your posted article is, I think, a correct analysis of the narcissim of Obama as well as his strong leftist ideology. His administration and congress and many established institutions and organizations in this country are supporting
and working in conjunction with his efforts to destroy Christianity and the best traditions of American life and independence. Are there enough people in this nation with spiritual and political discernment and fortitude to resist what is quickly taking place and to restore much that has already been forfeited?

It is indeed demoralizing, especially when our President who represents every American, sits and listens to dictators insult and demean America while he folds his hands and gives us no defense.
I wrote an article on Chavez on my blog, and one of the things that struck me is how Chavez implemented socialism with many of the same tactics Obama is now using.
History...or rather, mankind, hasn't changed much in the last, oh...since Creation.
But, I don't put my trust in mankind, and I know God is in control of this child in the White House.

If you look for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will. Abraham Lincoln

[Rachel - you and I both know that I was entirely willing to give Obama the benefit of a doubt. I do so wish we were not seeing what we are seeing.

it is certainly ironic that you defend your man by quoting Abraham Lincoln - a man of great character, who was certainly the opposite of Obama in terms of his willingness to do the right thing despite public sentiment, a man deeply committed to individual freedom.

In 100 days, Obama has set our nation on a disastrous course - saddling your children and mine with enormous debt, nationalizing our banks and car companies, replacing a free market society with fascism (that's the system of government where the government controls business and labor and shuts down dissent), and putting our international security at risk.

Quoting 15 words from Lincoln is hardly an argument in support of these actions. I really strongly suggest you study the issues and history more rather than looking for platitudes to shut up the opposition.]

Apparently Alan Keyes thinks something even more sinister is up... see http://www.prisonplanet.com/alan-keys-government-will-stage-terror-declare-martial-law.html

I trust Alan Keyes. A devout Catholic and very very intelligent. What he says seems to fit with what we're seeing. God help us.

The right had McCarthyism and now the left has Obamaism.

It is really quite a phenomenon to see the leader of our country doing everything he can to disparage our nation while disassociating himself from the country whose basic fairness and goodness is attested to by the fact that he was elected president.

I don't think Obama understands that it was fairness and goodness that got him elected. I'm sure he believes that it was the stupidity of the masses who fell for the misdirection and outright lies during the campaign.

Obama feels he's too smart for us.
