Would you prefer he not go at all? He easily could make that decision as well but then everyone would be on him for not going to church. It's a no-win situation. (BTW, the Reagans rarely attended church while in DC but their Christian supporters seemed to turn a blind eye to it.) At least they are looking around for a church--as most Protestants do, mind you--instead of just going to one of the default two "presidential" churches. If they were going just for show, that's where they'd go. But I think the desire to look around means they are actually looking for something to feed their family spiritually. I will hope that is the case anyway, instead of jumping to a negative conclusion as you did.
I find this post rather petty and mean, especially considering it is Good Friday.

Keep in mind that this particular situation does not exist in a vacuum, but in a context of a lack of authenticity by Obama, who may very possibly not be a Christian at all]

that “one of the great strengths of the United States is that it does not consider itself a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.
I suppose he is struggling with those pesky "ideals and a set of values".
It would be interesting if BHO would elaborate on just what the "ideals and a set of values" are.
