    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Planned Parenthood community organizing

ppai-logo.gifDon't know how I got on their email list, but this may give you some insight into how Planned Parenthood is using the Alinsky/Obama/ACORN approach to community organizing:

It's time to get out of the house!

The crocuses are in bloom, and the birds are building their nests. We at Planned Parenthood have noticed that our neighbors are starting to emerge from their winter hibernation. So, it's time to get out of the house, enjoy the weather, and engage in our communities!

We have a lot of fun events planned for all across the state. We'll have everything you need - all we need is you! Won't you join us? Make sure you send your RSVP today!

Saturday 4/4: Pub Crawl, 9:30 - 11:00pm in Chicago (Wrigleyville)

*Bring your friends and come help PPIL raise awareness about sexually transmitted infections by participating in our condom outreach pub crawl! This is a great event you don't want to miss! To RSVP or to get more information contact Danielle at daniellep@ppil.org.

Wednesday 4/8: Letter Writing Party, 5:30pm - 6:30pm at Starbucks, 106 W. 87th Street, Chicago

*We'll be hosting a meeting in your neighborhood to discuss how to write letters to the editor and letters to elected officials. We'll have paper, pens, letter writing tips, and everything you'll need! You'll be able to walk away with a handwritten letter and your own Letter Writing Toolkits so you can continue to take action in your own neighborhood. To RSVP or to get more information contact Danielle at daniellep@ppil.org.

Tuesday, 4/14: Decatur Choice Lounge, 5:30-7:00pm at Robbie's Bar & Grill, 122 Merchant St., Decatur
* Come sit back, relax, make new friends, and discuss what future events you'd like to see in the Decatur community! To RSVP or for more information contact Mandy at mandyh@ppil.org

Wednesday, 4/15: South Suburbs Evening of Action, 5:30-6:30 pm at The Plush Horse 12301 S 86th Ave., Palos Park, IL (please click here for a map)

* Please bring a friend - we'll be writing letters to our representatives and you'll learn how YOU can host a house party to raise awareness about the Reproductive Health and Access Act! To RSVP or to get more information contact Becky at beckyb@ppil.org.

Saturday 4/18: Pub Crawl in Oak Park, 9:30pm - 11:00pm
*Bring your friends and come help PPIL raise awareness about sexually transmitted infections by participating in our condom outreach pub crawl! This is a great event you don't want to miss! To RSVP or to get more information contact Danielle at daniellep@ppil.org.

Also, it's interesting to see that what we know as the "Conscience Clause" which currently protects health care providers from being forced to perform abortions, is presented by Planned Parenthood as:

Obama Moves to Overturn Bush Attack on Health Care

Add your name to the list of people who support reversing Bush's dangerous rule.

Excuse me?  Attack on health care?  Dangerous rule?

Love,

"Condom outreach pub crawl"--what a phrase that is. And "Bush Attack on Health Care"--they're the poor victims. Only the Holy Spirit can get through to such shameless consciences.

Thanks for sharing this! It's encouraging and discouraging at the same time. Discouraging because they're doing such a good job getting people involved - and they make it sound like so much FUN! Encouraging because we've recently had some of those same ideas at Rhode Island Right to Life, like the letter writing parties. Never thought of doing a pro-life pub crawl... : )

This is pretty scary! I know they don't know who they sent this to!
