Specter switches, gives Dems filibuster-proof majority

Specter and the media will spin this that Specter was a "moderate" Republican.  The truth is, he has always been a Democrat-in-Disguise.  I am glad he is finally outing himself.

But mad all over again at how foolish it was that Bush and the Republican Party supported his last primary against a real Republican.

Click Drudge's links below for the stories:

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) announces switch to Dem Party...

Statement...
Obama calls Specter, Dems are 'thrilled to have you'...
Decision gives filibuster proof majority...
Denies Switch on March 17: 'It is very important to have a check and balance'...

We are weeding them out. It is about time, we should be celebrating that Spector finally came to terms with himself - he stepped out of the closet! Lets get some statesmen in the congress and senate.

Specter's gone - That leaves Snowe and Collins to be taken down next. Encourage Michael Steele to run conservative primary challengers against them in 2012 and 2014, or kick them out before then! We don't need RINOs...I wouldn't mind seeing McCain gone in 2010 either.

My husband thinks that he was set to lose to Republican Pat Toomey in his next election anyway, so this probably serves multiple purposes for him.
