Abortion and breast cancer link

If the link between abortion and breast cancer has been thoroughly documented, why is the evidence suppressed?  Quite simply, because Planned Parenthood puts their profits and political agenda ahead of women's lives.

Watch the full episode of Komen's Dark Side here.

Eve Silver once worked for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, America's largest breast cancer awareness and prevention organization. Eve sat on the board of Komen's Latino Advisory Committee, which focused on educating Latino women to lower their rate of breast cancer diagnosis. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, Eve had a personal connection to this cause. Then she found out that the abortion she had years earlier increased her risk of a breast cancer diagnosis. Not only did Eve become aware of the 36 scientific studies supporting this link, but she realized the money being raised by Susan G. Komen was funding Planned Parenthood; the number one provider of abortions in America.

Eve sought out the research of physicians on the east coast, also aware of the link between abortion and breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Prevention Institute ,co-founded by breast surgeon Dr. Angela Lanfranchi and her colleagues, has been studying the link for years. She stands firm on the research supporting an increased risk of breast cancer in post-abortive women. Dr. Lanfranchi says it is an injustice to hide such a risk from women, yet this is indeed the case. She continues to say that women will make their own decisions regarding their health, but if they do not know the facts they cannot make informed choices.

Making informed choices is the mission of Karen Malec's organization. As the president and co-founder of The Coalition on Abortion and Breast Cancer, she speaks out against the funding being given to Planned Parenthood by the Susan G. Komen foundation. Malec says records show during 2007 the Susan G. Komen Foundation gave 700 thousand dollars of funding to Planned Parenthood. Women deserve to know their risks, Malec says, and abortion should be on the list of breast cancer risks.

All three women ask the question: Why fund a breast cancer organization that is providing services to women which will increase their risk of breast cancer? Eve, Karen, and Dr. Lanfranchi classify breast cancer research money, which is in turn given to fund abortion services, as "pink money". They urge you to consider where your money is going and how it is impacting generations of women.

My MIL just went in for a mammogram about a month ago and the tech asked her about her risk factors. She told her that she did have an abortion and the tech said incredulously, "I've NEVER heard that abortion increases your risk of breast cancer."

I always feel so bad when other women, who only want to help breast cancer victims, buy pink products or donate or raise money for Susan G. Komen. I don't want to seem heartless or like I have some kind of issue with breast cancer research, but it makes no sense for a breast cancer prevention organization to donate money to an organization that increases a woman's risk for breast cancer!

People say, "PP provides screening for breast cancer and other health services that are not abortion-related," but I don't see how that makes everything ok. All that means is that PP gets paid coming and going. First they oppose abstinence education so they can sell contraception and "safe sex." When that fails they sell abortion services and deny that abortions increase the risk of breast cancer. Then they get donations to screen those same women for breast cancer! (They also offer STD screening and HPV vaccines, two other services that would not be in as high demand if abstinence made a comeback!) Makes me wonder if Marlboro could make some extra cash screening people for lung cancer -- would the American Cancer Society donate funds for that?

So let me see if I understand this: you're saying the AMA, the ACOG, the ACS, the WHO, and the Office of the Surgeon General (including under GWBush) are lying when they say there's no abortion-breast-cancer link? It's a global conspiracy and there is NO opposition to it except on the fringe? Is that what you're saying?

[Yes, my friend, that's what I'm saying. And at least I have the courage of my convictions to write under my real name - not using a phony email address]

I see! It's a conspiracy to cover up the fact that abortions cause breast cancer. Thank you for clearing that up, but I'm still just a little puzzled--I can understand why an organization like Planned Parenthood, which profits from abortions, would try to cover it up, but what motivates the AMA, and the American Cancer Society to cover it up? They don't get money from abortions. What is their motivation for covering up the abortion-breast-cancer link?

Do please explain. Thanks!

[Because when it comes to the Sacrament of Abortion, everyone is afraid to commit blasphemy concerning it. Just like we pretend homosexual male sex is healthy and normal. We live in strange times - rather like a dysfunctional alcoholic family where no one can acknowledge the elephants in the living room.

Thanks for stopping in from New York to spend 1 hour 11 minutes 30 seconds so far with us! While you're here, why not look around, do some research and notice that people who hold different views than you on this issue (and others) are not so stupid or one-dimensional as you heretofore may have thought.]

Itsaconspiracy, why do you do something stupid like list a phony email address?

why is it that so many who want to look down on us "uneducated" and "unwashed" do not have the guts to put down a real email address?
