Broccoli salad - YUM!
How do I love Google? Let me count the ways . . . .
Like a few years ago when we were somewhere where this extraordinary salad was served and I rushed home to google the ingredients to find this recipe. By now, maybe everyone in the U. S. has tasted this scrumptious salad, but just in case you haven't, you shouldn't wait any longer:
Broccoli Salad
3 c. of broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
2/3 c. raisins
1/4 c. red onion, chopped
1/2 c. walnuts
15 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 c. mayonnaiseToss first 5 ingredients
Mix last 3 ingredients, pour over and toss again.
Chill.
Try to stop eating before it's too late :)
On my mind because I'm making a batch for 50 tomorrow!

Our family makes this recipe, it was a favorite of Mumsie, my mother-in-law. In her recipe she exchanged the cider vinegar for frozen orange juice concentrate. For parties, I have mixed the mayonaise and frozen OJ concentrate and served it as a dip with broccoli and other veggies. Enjoy the party and you can try it the other way at some family gathering. Blessing to Ben and Anna.
