    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Dr. Laura Live! In Praise of Mom - 5/5 simulcast - ticket giveaway

Well, I guess when it rains it pours.  I have more to give away!

DR. LAURA SCHLESSINGER CELEBRATES MOTHER'S DAY WITH "DR. LAURA LIVE! IN PRAISE OF MOM," A LIVE FATHOM EVENT ON MAY 5TH, WHICH TAKES A HEARTWARMING, PERSONAL LOOK AT THE JOYS AND STRUGGLES OF MOTHERHOOD

America's top female radio talk show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger invites moms and their families to celebrate Mother's Day early this year as she takes a heartwarming, personal look at the joys and struggles of motherhood in Dr. Laura Live! In Praise of Mom, a special LIVE in-theater event showing in more than 450 movie theaters nationwide.
 Dr. Laura
On Tuesday, May 5th at 8:00 pm ET / 7:00 pm CT / 6:00 pm MT and 7:30 pm PT (tape delayed) followed by a taped encore on Wednesday, May 6th, simulcast from the Irvine Barclay Theatre on the University of California, Irvine campus, Dr. Laura will recount her own life as a career woman turned stay-at-home mom showing her journey from mis-conception to conception to birth to the joys and struggles of parenting during this live stage show.

Featuring audio and video vignettes about moms from sons, daughters, grandchildren, grandparents, dads and moms, Dr. Laura will answer questions from audience members live at the Irvine Barclay Theatre in this uplifting and funny event.

Dr. Laura Live! In Praise of Mom is adapted from Dr. Laura's newest book, "In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms," available on April 7th by Harper Collins.

Tickets are available at www.FathomEvents.com and presenting theater box offices.

Here's the news for MommyLife readers:  I have 10 tickers to distribute:  five each for the 5/5 live simulcast event and the 5/6 rerun at 7 pm at the Regal Theater at the Fairfax Town Center.  That's about 75 minutes from where I live, but definitely worth the trip - I think it will be quite an event!

I plan to go to the Tuesday 5/5 showing, so that leaves four tickets for anyone close enough who would like to meet me there that night.  And five for the second showing on Wednesday night.

If you would like to go, please leave me a comment - like I said, when it rains it pours, but in a good way!

I will hold another guaranteed impartial drawing - with the help of one of my kids like last time - at 3pm Monday so we all have time to plan.  I will award the 4 Tuesday live tickets first, so if you can't go Tuesday night, let me know - and the 5 Wednesday rebroadcast second.
Love,

We actually live right behind that theater! We can literally walk there in 5 min and had no idea this great event was going on in our backyard! We'd love the chance to go!

This sounds wonderful!
A bit of a drive for me from here, but I will check it out and see if it's going to be at our Regal.
I may see if we can get a "Mom's Night Out" together
for it!
Thanks so much for the heads-up!

Hi Barbara, we live in Fairfax and I'd love to meet you there for the Dr. Laura event!

I have been listen to Dr. Laura for the past year and learning a lot.
And when it rains it pours...my husband had surgery on his shoulder, then my daughter had surgery, then because she has DS we have been to many IEP meetings and doctors for the last months.

I can't go Tuesday but maybe Wednesday. It would be a hike for me too but worth it.
Thank you!
