Great Depression Cooking with Clara - Peas w/Pasta
I forget who sent me this -
I love this sweet lady's taking the time to teach us how they made do during the Depression. It really is a wake-up call for how spoiled we are - even when we think we are cutting back, we are probably eating much better than our grandparents ever would have dreamed of.
Great example for us all. Simplicity rules!

Loved that piece. Thanks for posting it. You're right about what we consider a necessity. I just spent a load of money on "necessities" at Costco. I can see that my tastes need to change in order for our family to live on less. Actually, my heart needs to change. My contentment with what food we have will follow.
