    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Preparing My Heart for Motherhood - book giveaway!

PreParingHeartforMotherhood-BookCover-white.jpg Remember last month I gave away some books by my friend Ann Stewart? Well, she has three more to give away in honor of Mother's Day - so leave your comments here and I will draw 3 winners at 9am Monday morning.

Ann has some great insights into the spiritual life of women and her questions can really help mothers at any stage of their journey understand the spiritual significance of daily living and grow closer to God. I love this short article by Ann encouraging a Bible study in preparation for Mother's Day. While it may be a little late for that, there's food for thought for any mother here - and it gives you some idea what her book is all about:

Let's make this final week before Mother's Day one where we reflect on who we are, work on our relationships with/memories of our own mothers, and do a little more to grow closer to God to serve him with even more confidence and enthusiasm in the years ahead!

Love,

My neighbor is due with her first child on May 9th which is the birthday of our youngest of 5 children. This would be a great gift for her as she is quite apprehensive about the whole thing which is understantable. How I remember our 1st! Anyways, include me in!
