Apollo 11 anniversary man walks on the moon

Some of you weren't around for this. I was 21 and pregnant with Samantha Sunshine - who will celebrate her 40th birthday this year.

To give you a little insight into my radical leftist perspective at the time, I truly thought that the moonwalk was probably faked by the government to keep the stupid masses proud of their country. As a Little Red Book-totin' mama, I certainly wasn't. Which is why I understand the loathing that drives the Boomers in charge today.

Please pass this bit of history on to your children. As I realized eventually, we do have a lot to be proud of and a heritage worth defending:

NASA released newly restored video from the July 20, 1969, live television broadcast of the Apollo 11 moonwalk, commemorating 40th anniversary of the first mission to land astronauts on the moon.

Judging from the comments, evidently a certain segment today shares my 1969 delusional state. One mentions the curious fact that the flag appears to be flying though there is no wind on the moon. Actually, the flag is not waving, but stiffened to stick out like that.

But what are you going to do with people like that? The same thing some people evidently did for me. Pray, be patient and leave them to God.

At this point, they would probably only believe it if Obama told them to.

Love,
