Born without arms or legs - but living life large

It's gratifying to see how bloggers are scooping major news outlets years in advance! I covered Nick Vujicic in February 2007: Joy has little to do with outer circumstances.

From the 7/1/09 UK Daily Mail, via AOL News:

nick vujicic.jpgLife without limb-its: The astonishing story of the man born without arms or legs... who plays golf, surfs, and swims

Nick Vujicic was born with no arms or legs - but he doesn't let the details stop him.

The brave 26-year-old - who is mainly torso - plays football and golf, swims, and surfs, despite having no limbs.

Nick has a small foot on his left hip which helps him balance and enables him to kick.
He uses his one foot to type, write with a pen and pick things up between his toes.

For the whole story and many pictures, go here.

I appreciate the honesty of the parents in openly admitting their initial shock and trauma, and yet they ultimately met the challenge and gave their best to him! And look at the outcome--an amazing young man who is part of the body of Christ. It's ironic that he is actually more whole and complete than most normal-bodied people in this world.
