Best blender ever!
A reader asked what blender I am using to make the health smoothies for my family - and asked if I'd needed to upgrade to a Vitamax or Blendtec.
When my last blender broke down a couple months ago, I drooled over those for a few minutes, then dealt with reality. I just can't afford a machine like that, no matter how unsatisfied I've been with a stream of blenders over the past 20some years.
But I did need something that could handle the big demands of a big family. Each morning I make not one, but two pitchers of smoothies.
So, here's the machine I settled on. And I absolutely LOVE it. It is heavy and stable. It cleans easily. The pitcher pours easily, has a lid that really works and is the largest capacity around:

Hmmm. We absolutely love our Blendtec.

Yeah, well I would like a Blendtec too, but it is 400.
I guess the Kitchenaid is a poor man's version - but honestly, it's so solid I'm amazed at the difference from other blenders under 100. I've had.
