Wait No More®:

Finding Families for California's Waiting Kids

Currently, thousands of children and youth in Southern California are waiting for permanent families to welcome them home.

Join us on Saturday, September 19th at Calvary Chapel Downey to learn more. You'll hear from adoption experts, a young woman adopted from foster care, and adoptive parents. Plus, agencies will be on site to help you start the process.

Date: Saturday, September 19th, 2009
Time: 1 pm to 5 pm
Location: Calvary Chapel Downey

Last year, Focus on the Family held a Wait No More event in Colorado which drew 1300 people and resulted in 260 families initiating the adoption process.

Thanks Barbara for sharing this. On my blog I'm giving away a book by friends of mine who have adopted 12 children. It's the story of the process they went through with each child and the lessons they learned. It's their hope to encourage others to adopt older children. Any one is welcome to enter by leaving a comment. I'm doing the drawing next Tuesday.
Blessings,
Holly

They did one of these in Missouri, but it was in St. Peters, I didn't even know where that was!

I'm going to work to get one of these in the Kansas City area.
