Glenn Beck's 9.12 Moms tonight, and the UN Circus in NYC - maybe you've had enough too!

259230_320_motherschallenge.jpgGot home last night at 1:30 and up at 6:30 to get the kids off to school. I really should go back to sleep, but can't help myself - I must share at least a little of my very full day with you.

My first ride in a limo - taking me to Dulles, where I was picked up by another and driven into Manhattan:

Arriving at FOX News:

With Mary Baker from Houston and Stephanie from Pensacola:

FOX News is huge and bustling with talented, mostly young people - all very hospitable. With a couple hours in the Green Room (where you get make-up and hair and wait for things to happen) at FOX News yesterday, I had the unfortunate experience of seeing a few of the UN speeches. Well, I guess it wasn't an unfortunate experience in terms of being informed, but in terms of watching a world-gone-mad circus where all nations are supposed to be equal no matter the insanity of their governance and the brutality shown to their populace. Khadafy delivered a 95-minute insane ramble in which his own translator collapsed and refused to continue.
The night before the Canadian delegation and some others had walked out on Obama's new buddy Ahmadinejad, who used his speech at the UN to repeat his lunatic charges that the World War II Holocaust is a myth.

I love what Netanyahu said: "Have you no shame? Have you no decency?"

All so that our Glorious Leader may continue his shameless self-promotion. All the coming disorder and chaos - as though the asylum had been turned over to the inmates - because we can't stand up with confidence and say that our country was founded on unique principles. To be proud to proclaim that the bold experiment has worked: eliminating slavery, giving women the vote, freeing children from exploitative labor, giving dignity to the disabled. We live in a country where even the poorest among us can rise above his or her circumstances (I certainly rose above mine) and which people from all over the world flock to in order to reap the rewards of that unparalleled opportunity (as my limo driver and his family from Eastern Europe did).

At the taping for tonight's Glenn Beck show, the mothers were alarmed/frustrated/appalled by the current administration's Climate of Shame. Angry that their children are not being taught the true history and nobility of our country. Angry that history has been rewritten to cast America as a godless, greedy and grasping nation. Angry that a self-described African-American who has made it to the highest status in our country now throws his country under the bus to curry favor with the most rapacious and cruel dictators around the world. Angry at the growing use of public schools to indoctrinate children on the glories of our leader and the evils of capitalism.

Has our country gone mad???? In the airport last night I watched Larry King interview Chavez. The man is clearly living in a narcissistic bubble, justifying shutting down radio stations because they were "breaking the law" and laughing companionably with one of our Chief Media Doofuses. Why are we giving this man - who praises Anti-Historian-in-Chief Oliver Stone (latest propaganda piece South of the Border) a forum to slander our former president and rewrite our history? Why are we allowing dictatorships to spread their propaganda here?

Parents of America, you must rise up and take this country back for your children. There are so many more of you than you know. Many people are closet conservatives - that is, they are so afraid of the nasty liberal backlash - because it certainly is irrational and nasty - that they don't speak up. Last night at the Glenn Beck taping, one mom told the story of meeting the two mothers of her child's classmates at a Tea Party - and their mutual surprise at finding they shared the same philosophy and values. One was sitting beside her. Her message was one of hope at a growing confidence conservatives feel as we have been pushed way too far past our comfort zone.

The 9.12 groups on Long Island stage an event every week. I love her Tea Party battle cry: "Party On!"

And I loved reading the New York Post, which tells it like it is:

Crazy Khadafy holds General Assembly hostage with 90-minute diatribe

The naif-in-chief

Stay informed. Conservatism is a movement whose time has come in this country. As the Left continues to allow it's Anointed One to lead the country into crazier and crazier places - not realizing that his loyalty is not to them but only to himself - mothers and fathers who thought they had not time or energy to engage in politics are finally engaging. You will feel excited when you see the everyday moms - with a husband or two and a few kids - sprinkled in the Glenn Beck audience tonight at 5PM for A Mother's Challenge: A 9.12 Report.

Love,

Barbara - Thanks so much! I just can't wait to see Glenn's show tonight, and see you on it! I saw tonight because being in Alaska, I will see it much later than the rest of you. But I will be there, glued to my TV, watching every moment! Thanks so much for EVERYTHING you do, and for being willing to be a voice out there! God Bless!

Barbara, will you be posting a link for us to watch this show ?

Posted by: dee | September 25, 2009 12:53 PM

I hope there is a way to watch you online, since I can't watch American TV. Please post a link if you have one!

Posted by: Sue | September 25, 2009 3:57 PM

I'm thrilled that you got to be there Barbara! By the way, you look beautiful in the photo with those two other fab women.

Posted by: Cynthia | September 25, 2009 4:35 PM

Unbelievable! Glenn Beck just got cut in by "I'm a narcissist who needs 24 hour a day new coverage" Obama.

Posted by: Lauren | September 25, 2009 5:05 PM

What! Fox is breaking in on Beck & the Moms. Less than 15 mins in! Come on! Must we endure more of the broken record?????

Posted by: A Mac and a Mug O' Joe | September 25, 2009 5:11 PM

GACK !!!! Just logging on with the same complaint and disappointment in not getting to see this show. ::::sigh:::: Perhaps it will be replayed later in its entirety.

Posted by: Cynthia | September 25, 2009 5:32 PM

Well I'll be recording Beck tonight. Thanks Barbara, all the Moms and all the families who took part in the show.
Party On Indeed!

I was so disappointed that the prez preempted your show! Glenn Beck repeats at 2:00AM, so we are going to try to tape that in the hopes that the show will air in it's entirety at that time.

Posted by: Cici Wife | September 25, 2009 6:18 PM

Direct tv replays Beck at 2:00 am.
Party On!

I was so excited to see you on the show today! I had no idea you were to be on it. Imagine my frustration as the show was cut into less than 15 minutes in, by Our Dear Leader himself! :-/ And by the time he was done blathering, there were only 10 minutes left of the show. I never got to see you say anything at all, and hardly anyone else. SO FRUSTRATED!

Posted by: cam | September 25, 2009 6:30 PM

I was so looking forward to this... You looked lovely, Barbara - pretty skirt... THEN YOU WERE PREEMPTED by Obama! I will record the night show and hopefully the middle part won't be missing this time.

It looked like fun to be with like-minded concerned mothers.

Posted by: Carol | September 25, 2009 7:02 PM

Yes Barbara, in my market (Memphis) Fox pre-empted Beck with 40 min of Babbling by Barack. I am so annoyed I could scream! We got to see you and Mary Baker introduced and heard her first comment and that was it. By the time they resumed, it was mainly just closing remarks and commercials. I hope Fox will replay it - they usually do on Sat afternoon.

Posted by: Tami | September 25, 2009 7:05 PM

Glenn usually repeats his shows over the weekend. Can't wait to see the rest of the show.

Yes, I will see the show in its entirety. I'm going to call/email all my friends and tell them to watch, too.

Moms are powerful.

ARGHHH!! Same complaint as others....The middle 30 minutes were interrupted by B.O. of all people!! Can you believe it? I love Fox, but am disappointed that they took the trouble to put this guy on again...I am soooo SICK of seeing him on TV. It's ridiculous! I have my DVR reset for 11pm Pacific Time tonight, so I don't miss a second of it! Got a glimpse of you and your introduction Barbara. That was fun, but can't wait to see what you actually said!

Posted by: Kim O. | September 25, 2009 8:14 PM

Just read on Glenn's website on his Twitter sidebar the show will be shown again in its entirety on Monday!

Party on!

Posted by: Mary | September 25, 2009 8:20 PM

I stayed up until 11 PM and was able to enjoy the whole show! It was wonderful to see you, and to hear your laugh since you were miked. What a wonderful program! You DID look very pretty, I might add. I should be leaving to see Glenn at Safeco Field RIGHT NOW, but Baby got sick at 1 am. Sigh. I'm so proud of you, and so pleased that God has given you the opportunity to reach so many. I love you!!

Posted by: Greta | September 26, 2009 2:16 PM

I am not going to miss this show, Barb, congratulaations! You are our leader, of special needs moms who want to end the Culture of Death for our children before they fall victim to it!

Posted by: Leticia Velasquez | September 26, 2009 3:16 PM

Barbara, I got to watch that Glenn Beck show and you were wonderful! I think it would be terrific if you could talk to him one-on-one on his show as a mom guest. Any chance of that happening?? :-D

Posted by: Kim | September 28, 2009 10:22 PM

Bravo on banding moms together! My child is grown and I parented in the 80's & 90's when many moms were working. We were not AS engaged in this country, but it wasn't AS necessary because we had Ronald Reagan!I was in Washington for the 9.12 march and it was GREAT! Keep the faith!
