Obama team visiting 20 public schools to watch speech with students

From My Middle Isle Soapbox:

I'd still like to know what the 20 White House officials will be adding to his speech as they visit local schools across the country tomorrow. There's no way for parents to know since those visits won't be taped and no transcripts will be released. Why in the world are the administrators of departments, such as the EPA, visiting schools to talk about Obama's education speech? And how much is this costing taxpayers in this time of extreme debt and recession?

Here's the list of officials and the schools they are visiting tomorrow:

St. Vincent de Paul Elementary School in Peoria, IL, is a private, Catholic school. What in the world are they thinking!?!

Posted by: Emily | September 8, 2009 3:34 PM

They are probably thinking it is an honor to participate in this event with the President of the United States of America. Which it is.

[Who cares what they're thinking? This sort of federal intrusion into local schools is not right.]

I wonder if Mother of Two thinks it was an appropriate honor for Obama to recieve an honorary degree from University of Notre Dame. After all, principles and morals (like a the scandal that would result when a CATHOLIC institution gave such an honor to the most pro-abortion President in history) do not matter, only the celebrity of the President.

What is she smoking and can I have some?
