    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

The Obamas - more media razzle dazzle as soldiers die

first marriage.jpg

Does it ever end?

And the first time the Obamas have lived under the same roof since 1996? Who knew?

Apparently, we are in for a big charm offensive this weekend, with Michelle on the cover of Glamor and a cover story in the New York Times magazine.

As I've thought over Obama's photo op at Dover AFB last night, I'm more inclined to the cynical thoughts I wanted to suppress.  Though I'd like to give Obama the benefit of a doubt, the message we continually get is that these two truly believe it's all about them.

That Obama allowed the media to take his picture saluting the coffin tells me it wasn't about respect, but just another carefully calculated PR stunt - to blunt criticism of his not caring.

Never fear - this weekend it will be back to golf, next week back to lavish parties and spending at the White House.

I feel sorry for the families of those lost in Afghanistan - especially those lost since Obama purposely ignored the advice of his own appointed General McCrystal.

We need to pray for them and pray for their children's protection.

Love,

Exactly my sentiments. If he really cared about the troops he'd send all the troops necessary to win the war. My heart breaks for the troops and their families as the Obama's play at the White House. Scandalous! Julie

I agree with you Barbara. It's all done for political reasons and hopefully, the public will see it for what it is. If I were a mom of a returning dead soldier the last person I would want to see as they carried my child's coffin off the plane would be BHO standing there looking like he gives a crap!
