V - anyone watching the new political scifi series? UPDATED

Is anyone else watching V?

Except for American IdoI, 24, and Project Runway, I never watch TV at all - but when I saw a clip of the part at 1:50 in the trailer below, I had to watch it.

I missed the premier, but was able to buy watch it at Amazon for 1.99:

But before you spend money, see if it's at Hulu.

The second episode was last night. So Tripp and I have a date night on Tuesday for the fall. It's very interesting and there are a lot of parallels with the aliens who've taken over Washington

Love,

I know Amazon helps cover your costs, which is all to the good (we want MommyLife to continue publishing, after all), but that said, V is available on Hulu.com for free (albeit with commercials), with a rolling selection of the most recent 5 episodes.

Of course, if you want to have access to more episodes than Hulu has to offer, Amazon VoD may be a good choice.

[I asked my son Matt to check and he said it wasn't on Hulu yet. I couldn't wait. - But yeah, I don't want people to pay for anything they can get for free, so thanks.]

Hulu keeps the last 5 episodes online for free...at least through the end of 2009.

I was able to watch the first episode on the ABC website. The second isn't on yet, but I'll let you know when it shows up!

I loved the original as a kid so I watched it just to see how it had changed, but I love the "in bed with" the media angle. Another show I like this fall (I'm like you, Barbara, hardly ever watching tv) is flash Forward...very interesting concept...are we ruled by fate? what about self-fulfilling prophesey? do we have free will? Nice to engage my brain just a bit after the kiddies are in bed:)

Fancast is my favorite watch-tv-for-free site and it has the premiere episode up.

Love the "be sure not to ask anything that would paint us in a negative light." Sound like anyone we know?

Unfortunately, when Hollywood gets real life on TV most people discredits it as fantasy.

I pray America will see the Light!. :)

I watched the mini series as a child. I couldn't wait for it to come on when I saw the first preview. I was not sure how I felt after the first episode. I watched again this past Tuesday and think I may like the series after all. I guess I felt left down after FastForward. When I realized what they were going to do then I didn't watch it any longer. On a side note I am seriously craving some LOST.

Have you heard V's theme song? The song is called Uprising, by the band MUSE. I watched the video on Youtube and then went and bought the album from Amazon on download. It is a great album but so far Uprising is my favorite of the songs. I think you would like it.

That is the first thing my husband said when we watched the first episode last week...that this is so like the current administration's manipulation and propaganda. Eerie.

I wonder if ABC has realized it?

You got me hooked on Hulu. com now!!! My hubby hooked up the laptop to our flat screen and we had date night last night instead of waiting until Friday and watched V. It was great. :)

I was a big fan of the original in the 80s and I kept wondering what was the the behind theme on the original, since this one is about terrorism, health care and world domination. ???

anyway, going to the doctor this morning while there is still freedom to make my own decisions and pay for my own bills. :(

As for Lou Dobbs.... I think that is some of the faces of CHANGE... I am so looking forward to the change that will happen to Mr President Obama when he finally comes to his senses. :)

I was listening to Judge ??? who was covering for Glenn Beck while on medical leave... did you hear some of the things he was talking about?? America wake up and show some guts!!!

Anyway, have a great day!! :) BTW, Johnny is such a handsome young man. love your kids photos.

Haven't watched the series yet, but when I first saw the ads I marveled at how easily it could sub as an Obama ad.
