Cold Sassy Tree - must-read

cold sassy tree.jpg I really love this book. It's the kind of book that you start with no idea of how it will touch you. It wraps itself around your heart like a sweet potato vine (a line from Cripple Creek).

It's character driven and plot-driven at the same time, the kind of book that makes you feel like you were really part of it, the kind of book that makes you so sad when it's finished that you won't be hearing from the dear friends you made as you read.

All I can say is I would be so happy to be the kind of person Miss Love was.

You can probably get this at your library. There are a few copies at Paperback Swap (if you decide to join, please go through my link in the right sidebar to give me credit). And also at Amazon - used hardbacks for as little as a penny:

If you read it, please come back and leave your comments here. I'd love to know what you think

Love,

Barbara,
I love this book! I read it several years ago but might need to revisit it. Thanks for recommending it.

Funny, I have several friends who love this book and I didn't enjoy it all. I read all the way through waiting to find out why people liked it. It just never hit me I guess. But that's okay, I love some books that other people dislike. :)
