Obama Nation: fascism marches on

obamacare_flag_nazi_logo_troops.jpg

One of the cleverest ruses of the Left has been to hurl the charge of fascism at conservatives when it's really the Left that has been heading in that direction for years (think of the lockdown on free speech on college campuses) and is now on the brink of full realization of its dream with Obama's juggernaut of government ownership of and dictating to private industry.

Many outspoken conservatives know that it's only a matter of time before they try to silence their opposition. Think how Napolitano and Holder have put so much energy into rounding up and charging American citizens for "terrorism activity" like having a Don't Tread on Me flag bumper sticker or Tea Party talk - or racism (Holder hired 50 additional lawyers just to look for racism among our citizenry. All the while mainstreaming terrorism - dropping the terminology, closing Guantanamo, moving terrorist trials to New York court, hamstringing our military with ridiculous rules of engagement. Not to mention that we can't search middle-Eastern men at airports because that would be racial profiling.

From an article titled Guilt by association? 1 in 3 fear punishment Americans say they see 'chilling' loss of rights:

There's a new "chill" that has nothing to do with claims of global warming or climate change and everything to do with the failing confidence Americans feel in their own freedoms, according to a new poll.

"More Americans this month felt that there was more of a climate of fear over their freedom of association - with more than one in three - 36 percent - saying that they believed Americans had reason to fear punishment or retribution based on who their friends were or who they met with. This is chilling stuff!" said Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies.
