Pray for Daniel and a quick recovery

I will be MIA tomorrow for a while. Hoping the roads are okay so I can get to Ashburn with Daniel, who will have 12 teeth removed by Dr. Wu tomorrow morning.

I know, it sounds terrible. For some reason, kids with Down syndrome have problems losing their baby teeth. Out of the four kids I have with DS, all have had to have teeth pulled. Daniel is the final one - Justin is younger but for some reason, has already had his taken care of.

He has to have sedation, so that makes it a big deal. I will be back in the afternoon. Catch up with you then,

btw, check the Product Reviews and Giveaways for the most recent winner and the next giveaway.

Love,

definitely praying......ouch!

i guess he'll be consuming smoothies for a few days :-)

i once tried to turn a salad into a yummy drink for one of my children after some major dental or orthodontic work....it was SO gross.

i'm a real serious die-hard about fresh vegetables, but after that salad/blender event, we just stick to smoothies and pureed soup if they can't chew!

Oh my!! I am praying for him!! I just had 4 wisdom teeth removed 2 weeks ago and still am on a liquid diet, having to be so careful of the smallest things getting caught in the sockets! I have been on jello, pudding, and cream soups until just last night when I was able to eat some pasta without chewing. (I know, sounds terrible, but I was just so happy to have something solidish for a change!!) I have also found that protein shakes or the nutritional shakes (boost, slimfast...etc) have helped A LOT with my energy and hunger pains. I know you keep up with those great shakes for them, which are even better than the ones I have had, so I am sure he will do great! I will be praying for the little guy, for an easy and complication free surgery, for a fast and quick recovery and healing of his gums, and for you guys as well!! ((hugs))

If you can, please keep us posted on how he is doing, and how the surgery goes. :)

All the best for an uneventful recovery for Daniel! Hope to see him back on the diamond this Spring. They are all in good hands with Dr. Wu.
Merry Christmas.

Oh my! I can relate, although my Downsey girls have never had more than three pulled at once. Our orthodontist LOVES my girls and he always wants to have just a few pulled at time so it won't be as hard on them! (Not saying 12 at a time is bad, btw. I would personally prefer to have it all over with at once!)

All three girls have anomalous teeth problems. Vera has two permanent molars that switched places, plus a peg tooth. The panoramic x-rays are so funny to look at--like her teeth are having a party! Emma is congenitally missing four permanent teeth. Ella is missing one of her bottom front teeth, and since she is still so young we don't even know what problems yet lurk beneath her gums!

I hope everything goes easily and as pain free as possible!!

I have been thinking about Daniel all day. Also sent up some prayers.
How is he doing?

I'm afraid to think about what Will may need as he gets older.
