Rahm Emmanuel threatens military base to force Nelson's vote
I am so disgusted by the Chicago strong-arm tactics O&Co are using to force this health care "reform" down the throats of the American public.
This is shameful. Democratic senators are not allowed to vote their conscince or to listen to their constituents. If Ben Nelson continues to hold out, Nebraska's Offutt Air Force Base may be closed.
As John of Verum Serum writes, "This is the most disturbing, disgusting act I've seen in this entire process. Rahm really is a four letter word."

Offut is one our most strategic bases, it would be pretty tough to close it. As a Nebraskan, I'm hoping Ben Nelson calls his bluff and votes the way his citizens are asking him too. The newspapers are full of people asking Senator Nelson to vote no on health care reform.
And since this is Mr Nelson's last term and he won't be able to run again...I'm hoping he does the right thing.
