The Allman Brothers: Jessica

One of the love languages around my house is sharing music. I love that my kids have such broad taste and they are always discovering new things - especially indy music. Zach made me a CD and I put it in while driving the car only to hear Jessica by the Allman Brothers. I asked him if he knew I used to listen to the Allman Brothers - in fact my second daughter was almost named Jessica for this song, but I changed my ming a couple days before she was born.

In case you missed it completely or just haven't thought about it for a while, here are the Allman Brothers performing in 1982. I think we all oughta keep this song in our medicine cabinet. I can't imagine listening to it and not feeling happier by the time it was through:

We LOVE Jessica at our house! One of the very best things was when our son learned to play it on piano - by ear, no less -(one of his God-given gifts.) It is still by far his most requested song. The keyboard solo is amazing.
