Why mothers make great political candidates
One of the coolest things about the meeting last week with the Board of Supervisors about the Courthouse Nativity Scene/Christmas Tree/menorah was to see my friend Wendy get up - looking and sounding so professional. I announced to all our friends that we'd better start getting her ready to run for office.
Maybe it's going to take a woman's touch to clean up the mess they've made in Washington. Yeah, I know Pelosi's running the show, but these old single issue (abortions) hard line feminists are not real women. They seem to have grown up in an era where they were brainwashed into thinking/acting/sounding like men. They sold their womanly souls.
So I want to encourage anyone with the slightest inclination out there to do what Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann have done: take all the talent and expertise which you have used for raising a family and begin to put it toward cleaning up our cultural/political/educational mess.
Which brings me to an article by Phil Van Treuren at his blog: Killer Campaigning:
Very insightful, Phil!5 reasons why mothers make great political candidates
August 26, 1920 was one of the greatest days in American history, and will long be celebrated as the date that women gained the right to vote with the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
It's almost unbelievable to me that there was actually a time in our country when women weren't allowed to vote. Today, women-and especially mothers-are some of the most talented, productive and popular politicians in our country. It's hard to imagine government on any level without the contributions of female elected officials.
Women often make formidable political candidates, but it's my opinion that mothers have qualities and talents that make them particularly well-suited to running for office.

I'm thinking of running. I just learned that my county has been funneling about a half a million dollars a year to abortionists to pay for abortions for the past 30 years. This year we tried to stop them, but they ignored us completely.
This madness has to end. The most I can run for is state representative, but I'm thinking more health and human services board or something like that.
