Be back soon
I like to start my day blogging while I drink my coffee - it kinda feels like women over the backyard fence.
There is nothing I would like more than to discuss the State of the President message last night. Also how disappointing American Idol has been the past two weeks. Too many sob stories and too much time wasted on the ringers - the goofy "singers" they bring in for entertainment purposes. So not entertaining at all. And I know some of you are watching because of Maddy. But the first possibility that there will be footage of her is February 3
But I am committed the next two days to judging at a speech tournament. This afternoon we will be doing the run-through for Maddy Sings for Haiti. Won't be home until dinnertime, and then it's time to make dinner....
So hopefully sometime this evening I can get back to blogging.
Btw, I LOVE volunteering to judge these speech tournaments. The kids are always so impressive and give me a lot of hope for the future. If you ever have the opportunity to do this, go for it!

How about how disappointing two of the last guest judges were! Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne were awful!

I was appalled at the creepy guy who sang Touch Myself. One of the things I like about AI is that you can watch it with your whole family. Most of the time. But the dominatrix girl and the sexual commentary is disturbing.
Hopefully we will see more Maddy and people like her!

I haven't watched since Boston. I'm just not into it this year. Maybe it's because Paula is gone and they have the guest judges that it seems a little off? I don't know. But I look forward to February when I'll start watching it again!!

Thanks for volunteering to judge at a speech tournament. My boys are involved with speech and debate this year, and I very much appreciate the community judges who participate.
