Putting kids in touch with their feelings
I love this poster by Jim Borgman:
I bought mine 18 years ago and had it laminated. It's been giving us a more objective perspective ever since :)
A great resource for developing emotional intelligence in your kids. Kids do better when they have a label to put on their feelings: "Oh, are you angry about Susie sitting on your sandwich?"
This poster helps them not take themselves so seriously. Also, if you go through the feelings - naming them and making the appropriate faces together in the mirror - it really can show children that they can be to some extent in control of how they express their feelings.
Also very helpful for kids with special needs like autism and Down syndrome, which I found out years after buying it when my son with Down syndrome was born :)
And here is a newer version, which I have bought - it's a board book that can form its own base to be freestanding - I like it a lot too:
Mood Swings: Show "Em How You're Feeling!

Oh that is a brilliant poster. I have a twelve year old son with autism, he often brings me an illustration or a photograph and asks me what feeling the person is showing...this would be a great reference poster for him ( and me!)
And as you say it is done in a light-hearted way, which is great, I don't want him to get bogged down in the challenge of sorting out the whole world of emotions/feelings but at the same time I'm so glad he is ready now to take this on and want to help him all I can.

I had that poster about 18 years ago as well. It hung in my dorm room. Wish I still had it. :)

Anybody know where it can be obtained as a magnet?

We used that with our kids, too. . . And when teaching English in Ukraine.
