A bit off topic but...
I've been noticing that there are a lot more children with DS in parenting magazines lately. I was reading the Feb. issue of Parenting(I think!) and one of the articles used a child with DS as the model for the story. The story was just about making Valentine's cookies or something. I thought it was really cool to see that the magazine was showing a child with DS doing a fun family activity. I think those types of things go a long way to help ease the subconscience fears of expecting parents, and hopefully eventually lead to fewer abortions!
