Pro-life books, curriculum for children?

Any ideas from readers?

Hi - I don't know how I got on your e-mailing list but am enjoying it.

Do you have any suggestions for teaching pro-life to children of all ages either in the form of a lesson plan or list of suggestions?

Thanks for your help. Bev

I did a Google and came up with these - can't vouch for any of them, but you can read up and see what you think:

Christian Patriots for Life links to a couple of resources

Generations for Life

To Teach the Gospel of Life

Whole Life Curriculum

Building a Culture of Life with Middle and High School Students

This is a beautiful picture book from Regina Doman which will impress your little ones with the idea that life begins long before we see the baby:

It's neat that authors are writing books on this subject so that kids get the truth while they are growing up, rather than having to decide the truth when faced with a decision in their adult years. I've never known how many babies we'd have, so I always take the older ones to my ultrasounds. They follow the development online with us as well... Just hoping it makes an impact on them.

Barbara,

I'm the co-director of Generations for Life, so I want to thank you for the plug!

Our Pro-Life Curriculum is designed primarily for high school students who want to start pro-life clubs in either their schools, churches, or communities. The first few chapters are devoted to practical steps for getting the club off the ground, ideas for club activities, etc., and the bulk of it consists of resources that can be used as a springboard for discussion of particular topics at meetings.

If I could suggest one more resource that some may find helpful: Human Life Alliance has a publication called "Life Begins" that's geared toward elementary school-age children.

You are so right about the importance of teaching children a pro-life worldview from a very young age.

Whole Life Curriculum provides interactive Biblically based lesson plans for students K-8.
The curriculum starts with helping students to embrace the value imparted to them by God at the moment of conception. When students REALLY are convinced of their own value, they are led to discover the implications of living this value out in their WHOLE LIVES. Social Justice and Purity grow from a truly "pro-life" worldview.

This curriculum has been tested in classrooms and enthusiastically received. Check out our website!
