Cuccinelli challenges Obamacare, Virginia rallies
Friends-This morning President Obama signed the legislation that will allow for the Federal takeover of our healthcare system.
In the excitement, Vice President Biden even used profanity when congratulating the President on signing the historic legislation. His profanity was a just as disappointing as the article in Roll Call's Heard on the Hill that talked about Congressman Perriello celebrating and partying the night away after voting for the Federal takeover of our healthcare system. But the deed is done and the federal government has now taken control of our healthcare system.
And as soon as the ink dried on President Obama's signature, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed a lawsuit in federal court to prevent Virginians from being forced pay a stiff penalty if they refuse to purchase federal government sanctioned healthcare.
As you might imagine, the Democrats are a little worried about Attorney General Cuccinelli's lawsuit. They might have been able to twist enough arms and make enough sweetheart deals to get the legislation through congress, but for it to actually stand up in a court of law, well that is something else entirely.
The Virginia Democrats have even been sharing a video from CSPAN of a college professor attacking the viability of the Attorney General's lawsuit. What they failed to mention was that this college professor has donated over $18k to national and Virginia Democrats including $1,000 to Obama for President, $1,000 to MoveOn.org, and $1,200 to Deeds for Governor just last year. He was even invited to today's White House signing ceremony. But we're confident that his current activism and donor history has not interfered during his many media appearances and has remained completely unbiased...
Friends, there is a lot at stake. While the Attorney General is moving forward with his lawsuit, we are moving forward with our effort to remove the Speaker's gavel from Nancy Pelosi's hands.
Virginia can do more to take the gavel from Nancy Pelosi than any other state by defeating our four vulnerable Democratic incumbents. If they are defeated, then we can retake the U.S. Congress.
But we need your help. I hope you will make your Victory 2010 donation right now by clicking here.
Sincerely,

Well, thank goodness Virginia gets it. I'm still waiting for our rabidly Democrat Attorney General here in CT to do something, you know, seeing as Hartford is the insurance capital of the world and our economy depends on the viability of this industry.
You're blessed to have state leaders who are willing to fight this thing for the good of VA citizens.
