Obama plays the race card early for 2010 elections
Blech.
But you will take heart from the comments at Politico - 1231 and counting. . .
Here's a sample:
- Ah, the real base of the Democratic Party. Those too naive to really know what's going on, and those easily influenced based on "feelings".
- The President would be better served if someone would tell him to reconnect with Americans as a whole instead of pandering to hyphenated Americans, illegals and other subgroups.
- I am not getting head faked by this poser again...
- Remember In November....this is Americas final warning. typical Obama..
- fuggedaboutit. Young people, Latinos and African-Americans have fared the worst under Obama. He let everyone down.
- Now the democrats need the latinos. The democrats were fine and happy not counting hispanic as a race on the census but now they want their votes. The hispanic community needs to send a message to the baby killing Catholic hating democrats!
- I just wonder if there are limits to his audacity. The unmitigated gall is nauseating.
- They try to label the Tea Party Movement as racist and yet it is the Democrats who can not look outside of the prism of skin color.
- And what about the rest of us?! Isn't the "President" supposed to represent all the American people? What a hypocrite and a liar!

- Dude; I just graduated and there are no jobs. Gas is 3$/gallon. You keep taxing us more and more. NO WAY I'm not voting for you. Your base seems to be the people who want something for nothing and you want to steal my fathers hard earned money to give it to them.
- Frankly, any demographic that votes 94% as a block, is an unthinking, unserious part of the electorate. Dictators don't even garner than kind of support when they're the only ones on the ballot. No population anywhere in the world votes as numb and reflexively for one party, one rule as African-Americans. It's just embarrassing.
- If this man could for once be the President of the United States - all of the United States, he might have some promise. However, he is incapable of doing so. I am now finding it difficult to have any respect for him. His expertise seems to be divide and conquer and keep dividing until no one but his ruling class has anything.
- He said he would unite us, but instead his actions and rectoric pit rich against poor, black against white, young against old, lenders against borrowers and tax payers against the tax takers. How said I am for all Americans and for all those that participate, embrace and promote this behavior from the President of the United States.
- I'm a little insulted that he is lumping women in with the rest of his ignorant supporters. A majority of the tea partiers are women so we aren't all stupid.
- Obama works with feelings rather than substance which is obvious from his condescending -- blames American speaking style. Very offensive individual but that is Chicago/radical style politics that has no place in Washington. We need someone in the White House who is virtuous, knows how to run a business and knows economics. In 2012 socialists need not apply.
- Great, more of what we are getting now. Healthcare that hurts everyone with higher rates and less access, more taxes to support those who won't work, more unemployment to encourage people not to work, more corporate regulations and taxes to raise costs for everyone and send jobs to other countries. Those young people who are still being supported by their parents and lower income people who are supported by the government should think about what they are doing. Someday they will realize that they are giving away their future. I am female and have worked hard to become one of those Main St. businesses he says he is helping. He has hurt me, my family and my future success. I have worked hard and don't feel that my years of struggle and economic success should be taken away to pay for those who are lazy, stupid or illegal. If that is what is going to happen maybe I will become lazy too and let someone else pay for me, or not. Where is John Gault when you need him!
- I'm a 56 yr old American who happens to have black skin. Personally, I'm glad to have lived long enough to see the mask pulled off the face of Obama and the rest of the fascist socialist racist Democrat dividers of America. They're quick to label conservatives racist when they are the only ones obsessed with categorizing everyone by the color of his or her skin- the very definition of racism: obsession with 'race.' These are truly 'Orwellian" times we are living in in this country today. Where the true racists think they can be successful in projecting their own racism onto those who are sickened by liberal's obsessiveness with 'race.' Look at where we've gotten with this liberal 'racism.' "Obama speaks with unusual demographic frankness" the caption reads. There's nothing "unusual" about it. That's what racists do. Liberal Democrats have made a business out of it. Race-baiters, Inc.
- White men, we just need your check books.
- I made a huge mistake voting for this guy. I won't get fooled again.
- His problem is that with one exception, all these groups now see what a phoney this guy was while running for election.
- What a tiny little fellow this man is. I'm sure no one will mind when Republicans and conservatives reach out to everyone, identities notwithstanding, who believe the country's salvation lies in a return to freedom and individual responsibility in our politics, policies, and politicians. The country only has 2 groups worth appealing to: those who produce, and those who do not. It's time to elect a government of, by, and for the former.
- Obama knows that his party is going to lose the House and get even further shut down in the Senate after the 2010 elections. They are in full panic mode and with the Tea Party movement (something that the liberals totally don't understand) now fully organized and going for their throats, we are going to see a lot of this begging and whining. It's pathetic really. Grow up Obama. Remember, the American people are not as dumb as you think.
- it will be up to you to keep our nation fragmented so that I can continue to play the race/economic warfare card in order to maintain my power. It will be up to each of you to help me marginalize the rest of the country that opposes my socialist agenda. It will be up to each of you to ensure that2010 is not my Waterloo and that all the socialist policies I have enacted over the past two years are entrenched for eternity.
- Why doesn't he just say "I will give you stuff if you are not a white male working adult and you vote for me and my Dems!" keeps it much simpler...

Up to 1471 when I checked and I read through four pages of the comments and read roughly five comments that were supportive of Obama. Otherwise... reading all the comments have given me a renewed sense of hope! Seems like the giant is awakening and won't sit idly by either!

Yep. He sure likes himself! Nice to see that people are not buying it, and that the change to socialism and tyranny was not what they had in mind!
