Tea Party 2010 information - April 15 locations

See Tea Party Events for 614 - and counting - locations across the country.

Also see: Freedom Works

Since the Tea Party is a true grass roots movement, there is no leadership to tell us what to do, but rather a network of various organizations all working to build public awareness of the dangers - particularly financial - of Obama's deconstruction of our constitutional/free market foundation.

Never in my life - which includes many years as a radical leftist organizer - have I seen the former Mainstream Media so unjustly vilify a group of protesters. Living in the metropolitan DC area, I have seen many marches - including the most radical, coarse, disgusting and murderous slogans directed against Bush - which were always given a pass by the media. See David Horowitz: Educating the Left: Here Are Some Real Hate Signs.

The Dinosaur Media and their Tired Old White Men Commentators love to paint today's protesters as Angry White Christian (southern) Men. This is absolutely untrue. I have been to several protests - 2009 April 15 Tea Party, September 12, 2009 March on Washington, November 5, 2009 Michelle Bachman's Call on Congress - and have documented the many families and peaceful but determined atmosphere. The right of the people to peacefully assemble and protest actions by their government has always been a cherished tradition in America. We have tolerated a lot: flag burnings, Bush death threats and being burned in effigy, Catholic Church invasions by gays - which the Dinosaur Media and their tribe of leftist pundits have never condemned.

Despite the vilification of what is truly a people's movement, more and more people are feeling called to join these events. Our sense of powerlessness in the face of a regime which passes disastrous legislation despite our protests leaves us few options other than to exercise our right to assembly.

This post was spurred by an email from a mother of seven who asked where our closest Tea Party would be on Thursday.

If you haven't yet gone to a Tea Party, pay no attention to the Propaganda Press - you will be encouraged and uplifted to see how many other normal everyday people are waking up to the fact of our growing government oppression.

Please be aware there is a leftist backlash which is seeking to discredit the Tea Party Movement by sending in plants with misspelled signs, racist signs, hateful words - plants prepared to seek media attention with crazy interviews.

Michelle Malkin is tracking the saboteurs. I have actually seen an instance of this last year. It was very, very obvious because it is the left that is crass and vulgar.

And it is the Left that lies about tolerance vs. anger. They are the angry, spiteful, unreasonable ones. Who react out of emotion and who refuse to listen to well-reasoned arguments. Who lack respect for others and who would censor the opposition.

Freedom of speech is for everyone!

Keep teaching your children to think for themselves - so important when so many people obviously don't.

Love,
