Black conservatives rising: thinkers and blogs
For all their howling about tolerance, the Left has demonstrated again and again that they are the ones who are intolerant. They are the ones whose fortunes are built on division. Look at Van Jones, a man whose public record is consistently filled with hatred and hostility for whites and Republicans, who even used his resignation to stir up more.
The Left - and the State-run media - would love you to think that all blacks are liberals. When a black person is nominated to the Supreme Court - a black man with an even more compelling narrative than the highly-overrated affirmative action Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor - liberals drag him through the mill with crazy trumped-up charges of sexual innuendo. Kinda like whipping a slave who ran away!
It's hard to believe the Neverland political world we live in where ClarenceThomas's reputation was trashed, while Democrats - including feminists who only care about abortion - protected Clinton from any consequences for his sexcapades with a 19-year-old intern - and more scandal.
The difference then and now is that we have the freedom of the Internet.
To all these charges of racism towards those of us with profound political and philosophical differences with President Obama, I say Enough already! Read my Are Obama opponents racist? And know that conservatives will no longer be defined by you.
On a positive note, I want to introduce my readers to some conservative thinkers/analysts/pundits who happen to be black and who have a lot of intelligent commentary to share. I hope you will become more familiar with these brave writers/speakers/activists - and then visit some of the sites and blogs listed below.
It's so refreshing to hear an honest evaluation of Ted Kennedy or Van Jones - not to mention Obama - from a conservative black perspective!

I love that people are different skin tones. It is one of the things I love about living where I do; the different ethnicity are beautiful - not to mention they make our city interesting. I love that some of my children look white but others look Mexican and Asian. However, what should matter is what one believes, not what color of skin one has. We are perpetuating this nonsense when we shout "look here, blacks do agree with us". I am sick of the talk of skin tone, at least in the political arena. Show me people who believe in a free America and lets go from there. I don't value Thomas Sowell's opinion because he is a black but because he is a American who believes in what America is all about.

I agree Ouida. But the point of running these articles is to give a wider audience to those who've been even more marginalized and persecuted for their beliefs because of the color of their skin.
The point is to counteract the propaganda that all blacks are liberals and that all support Obama.
As I said elsewhere, had we elected a healthy black man to the Presidency, our country would be well on the way to healing. Instead, because liberals can't stop exploiting race, the situation is much more complicated and seemingly hopeless.
I can't sit silent while I see people exploit this situation for their own power and gain. I must do what I can to show people the truth.
Btw, our family is also a mix of colors, including Mexican/Iranian and Asian children and a Guatemalan grandchild. I agree, it is very pleasing and reminds me of how Heaven will be where it really won't matter.

I love you, Barbara! Thank you so much for the support, not to mention valuable resources! I definitely plan to read them and pass them on to others.

"I agree, it is very pleasing and reminds me of how Heaven will be where it really won't matter."
Amen and AMEN!
I look forward to when my children get married and have children as well. There is not a blond or red headed person in our family but I fully expect to have some blond/red headed grandchildren somewhere along the line. We already have blue/gray/yellow/brown and dark brown eye colors, the different color hair will be next!
I hope I didn't sound to harsh in my first comment. I was not trying to be. I would like us (the people) to move on to better things than race. Let our disagreements be based on merit rather than race. I feel it belittles others to say we value their opinion more because they happen to be not white. I do believe you are not saying this but I get the feeling that a lot of people do, or at least I feel that they are.
I do understand what you are saying though.
