Joe Cocker - A Little Help from My Friends - lyrics revealed

I needed a laugh tonight and thought of this, which I posted May 4, 2009 (warning: irreverence):

I am the sum of my parts, and one of those parts is hippie and we are approaching the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, which I missed because I was 8-months-pregnant with Samantha Sunshine and just a little too unhip to throw all caution to the wind - which is maybe why I cried when I saw Joe Crocker break into this unforgettable performance and laughed at the cutting-edge interpretation. Forwarded from my dear sister-in-law Catherine:

What was Joe Cocker actually trying to communicate in his version of "A Little Help from My Friends" at Woodstock nearly 40 years ago? Was he speaking in tongues, in code to the Soviets, simply sputtering the gibberish of a drunkard, addressing an unknown civilization on another planet, or perhaps speaking in a language that he made up simultaneously as he sang on that infamous day?

The solution has been found!!

An elite group of 32 linguists from virtually all English speaking lands have worked around the clock in a small room in Hoboken N.J. since 1969 to uncover the definitive translation of Mr Cocker's complex verbal and musical offering on that special day. They have finally reconstructed, to the best of their ability, the definitive translation. The answer to the questions that have nagged our collective unconscious since the 1969 Woodstock album are now revealed--please listen with respect:

Do you remember the Sixties? - If you or your parents are aging Baby boomers, watch this now!

When I orginally saw this I thought it was one of the funniest things ever. Oh, the memories. Thanks Barbara.

Oh, Barbara, did that make me laugh!! I'm just a little bit too young to remember Woodstock (my parents wouldn't let me, at 7, go there) but I do remember the music. Thanks for a good laugh today - I can't wait to share this.
