H1N1 Swine flu threat exaggerated? Tied to Big Pharma?

Swine_Flu_Vaccinations_9121.jpgI've been vindicated for years of reporting that Global Warming/Climate Change was a crock.

Now we come to Last Year's Big Horror: The Swine Flu.

I hope that soon Americans wise up to the fact that liberals like to keep us all in a worried, fearful state - it makes it easier to manipulate individuals when they are clinging to government for hope. And Big Pharma just start funneling money to whatever party's in power. The Obama administration's first task was to whip up a frenzy, they have the government buy as much vaccine as possible - your tax dollars at work.

This is probably just the beginning - and don't forget that O&Co are all over this - with Kathleen Sebelius as Queen of Obamacare:

Reports accuse WHO of exaggerating H1N1 threat, possible ties to drug makers

European criticism of the World Health Organization's handling of the H1N1 pandemic intensified Friday with the release of two reports that accused the agency of exaggerating the threat posed by the virus and failing to disclose possible influence by the pharmaceutical industry on its recommendations for how countries should respond.

The WHO's response caused widespread, unnecessary fear and prompted countries around the world to waste millions of dollars, according to one report. At the same time, the Geneva-based arm of the United Nations relied on advice from experts with ties to drug makers in developing the guidelines it used to encourage countries to stockpile millions of doses of antiviral medications, according to the second report.

The reports outlined the drumbeat of criticism that has arisen, primarily in Europe, of how the world's leading health organization responded to the first influenza pandemic in more than four decades.

NICE...

I skipped the shot, even with my doctor urging me to get it because of my pregnancy. I talked to different people who had the h1n1 and did well using natural remedies...

Hard for me to go with this. My son's class mate died of the swine flu. He was not vaccinated as he was low risk and college students were not in that category at the time. My son did go and get his vaccination as soon as the supply opened up.

The young man went to Cornell and had no outstanding health issues. His memorial service was held less than a mile from my house. I could never give information like that to groups I know, given that there were deaths from this disease.

Difficult for me not to believe the danger of this illness, as we had a very scary scenario with our 13yo....so thankful that we have her here today! ALL of us recovered fine, she was the only one with complications. It really can be serious, however, I still would NEVER get a vaccine, even knowing what I know now.
BTW...she began to heal after receiving the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.

I have a relative who got H1N1. She is a paramedic. She had the vaccination for H1N1 in October and got the flu in February. She was young and very very healthy and we thought we were going to lose her. The vaccination apparently did nothing at all for her other than make her think she was protected. She may have been less careful with germs. 4 or 5 months later, after spending months in a hospital far from her home (life flighted) she is still not completely well.

I am anti-vaccination anyway, but this episode in her life just reinforced my basic belief that when it's your time to die, you will, via the flu or any other avenue the Lord might use. That's not much consolation to those who "believe" in vaccinations. I think only certain vaccinations are actually useful. The flu ones... not so much.

During the H1N1 scare last year I was pregnant and refused the vaccination for it and the seasonal flu. I was very torn about whether to do this, after hearing "so many stories" of pregnant women dying because of the flu. I just couldn't, in good conscience, put my baby at risk with a hyped up, experimental vaccine. Almost everyone I know, including several other pregnant women, got the vaccine for themselves and their young children. It made me feel a little crazy, like I was being paranoid. We were super conservative about washing hands and minimizing exposure if someone had been sick. Seeing these kinds of reports now, and similar ones on Mercola.com, give me great comfort that I made the right decision not buying into the scare and hype of this money-making vaccine.
