AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT

Friday, July 23, 2010

4 to 7 p.m.

Clemyjontri Park

6317 Georgetown Pike

McLean, VA 22101

Rain date Monday, July 26, 4 to 7 p.m.

In honor of the 20th Anniversary of the ADA, please join us at a play date for children with and without disabilities.  Parents and guardians are invited too.

Refreshments will be served.  Enjoy free rides on the fully accessible carousel.

Clemyjontri is a fully accessible park.

On July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law to ensure the civil rights of people with disabilities. This legislation established a clear and comprehensive national mandate for the elimination of discrimination against individuals with disabilities.  The ADA's 20th Anniversary offers a time to reflect on the progress that has been made and to examine what work still needs to be done to ensure the full promise of the ADA is achieved.

Love,

Hi,

I just sent a comment to the people at the Emmy's concerning the despicable choice to nominate "Down Syndrome Girl" I wanted to give the correct link (the one currently at this posting is incorrect) so that we can contact these folks and define the words decency, compassion and ethics for them. :-(
