Jim Wallis, Sojourners and the George Soros connection

jim wallis.jpg [This is very timely, as this morning's research reveals that Jim Wallis appears to be campaigning for more public visibility.

Wallis was actually paid as a keynote speaker at the Christian gathering LifeFest last weekend. To their credit, several sponsors pulled their support..

Christians need to know that while Wallis may have started out with good intentions (giving him the benefit of a doubt), he has become a complete charlatan. He is financed by Obama kingmaker George Soros - a true enemy of life, democracy and Christianity.

And if at one time Jim Wallis was a Christian, how could it be that he has declared war on mainstream Christianity?

And what to make of a hypocrite who rails against Christians involved in politics, yet calls his blog God's Politics?]

For years I've been bothered - as have many conservative Christians - by Jim Wallis being trotted out by liberals as the Voice of Liberal Christians, that is, the ones willing to disregard our "freedom in Christ" to turn it over to the government. The ones who distort the biblical mandate to be charitable into a command to support redistribution of wealth by a secular government. (See What Does It Mean to be Our Brothers' Keeper?)

Jim Wallis is the editor of Sojourners magazine and self-anointed evangelical king of Social Justice. For decades he's preached his sanctimonious SJ gospel to back the leftist agenda - beating up conservative Christian thinkers while defining his niche as the Go-To Guy for Obama and other statist/progressive/radical liberal Political Big Wheels.

He gets invited to a lot of places :)

Now the truth is out.

George Soros, one of the leading billionaire leftists - he has financed groups promoting abortion, atheism, same-sex marriage, and gargantuan government - bankrolled Sojourners with a $200,000 grant in 2004. .
Since then Sojourners has received at least two more grants from Soros organizations. Sojourners revenues have more than tripled - from $1,601,171 in 2001-2002 to $5,283,650 in 2008-2009 - as secular leftists have learned to use the religious left to elect Obama and others.
