July 4 Purcellville's Rock the Field
Maddy sang at this Fireman's Field event which followed the parade, backed by Lynn and Julia Kasdorf:
Among her songs: Hallelujah (Cohen), Give It Up Or Let Me Go (Bonnie Raitt), Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Our Love Is Here to Stay (Ella Fitzgerald) - and some others. One silver lining to her break with her old bluegrass band is that she's free to do a wider range of music - the kind of music she's always loved.
I got distracted by my son Zach and his sweetheart Dana who dance at the drop of a hat - or even without one. They are good and they know it!
When Maddy's set was finished, she did autographs and photos. Lauren and Evan sent her their picture:
Hugs with Sister Sophia and her sweetheart Josh.
Then off to the Corcorans' annual July 4 party!
btw, I saw Patty Schuchman taking photos, so there may be some great ones coming! If so, I'll link to them later.
