Obama: White House Broadway Night 7/19 - more $$$$
The disconnect with reality continues. Campaigner-in-Chief Obama continues to blaze the largest presidential carbon footprint in history by spending millions for photo ops (no one is really listening to what he says anymore):
Obama's day: On to Michigan
06:56 AMGood morning from The Oval, on a day when President Obama hits the road again to sell his economic and energy agendas.
Obama travels to western Michigan for the opening of a factory that makes advanced batteries for electric cars, and is also the recipient of money from the stimulus grant.
The trip comes as more than 3 million Americans face the loss of unemployment benefits at the end of the month, reports USA TODAY's Dennis Cauchon, even as the government spends record amounts to compensate the jobless.

The royal staff is packing for the First Family's third vacation in 2 months - this time to Maine - only 2 days after Michelle commanded the huddled masses to vacation in the tar-splattered Gulf). These Obama get-aways are not their real vacation, which will come in August (last year was Martha's Vineyard).
Monday, they will come home to yet another White House extravaganza - at your expense:

Wish they'd head down to the Gulf to either help out (great experience for their girls... that whole "make the kids learn how to volunteer" idea that they try to push onto our kids) or to just spend money down there. Lord knows they need it down in the Gulf more than the economies up north.
