The Pill and sexual dysfunction

Barbara,
Another piece of the story is that sexual dysfunction is a common effect of the Pill. Doctors never tell you this, but the information is out there.
It happened to me and to two of my friends. Sadly, for one of these young ladies the effects of the hormonal imbalance turned out to be permanent. Even after she went off the pill, her hormones (especially her testosterone) never went back to normal (this was documented by blood tests), and so this newly married woman and her husband had to live with her having NO sex drive ever again.
For me, the effect was temporary, but while it was happening, it was like that part of me had just been scooped out. I wanted to comment to your post annonymously, but didn't, just in case there was a glitch and my name popped up :) But I thought you might be interested in looking into this and sharing with your readers. It makes me so angry that so many girls and women are being fed these hormones and never told what they could be doing to their normal, healthy bodies. What consequences does this have? I can imagine it encouraging promiscuous behavior in women trying to overcome their deadened sex drives, and killing marriages in which neither the husband nor the wife understands why she never wants sex.
Best,
M

There have been cases where the woman's fertility has been permanently knocked out as well - makes you think that that might be a factor behind the huge expansion of "fertility services" and clinics these days.
