London Muslims blast Pope September 18
Here the "religion of peace" rallies in London for an event they describe as "The slaves of Allah confront the slave of Satan"
Muslims Confront Pope Benedict XVI - Saturday 18 September Demonstration in London

btw, Pope visit: Five suspected Islamist terrorists arrested over assassination plot
Can you imagine Christians or Catholics showing such disrespect to Muslims?
How can a religion generate such anger? And how can Americans be so naive as to not see that our country's policy of tolerance will eventually bring us to this same evil place?

Thank you so much for this, Barbara!
In his book Salt of the Earth published in 1997, Pope Benedict (then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger) wrote insightfully about Islam. He spoke about it again at Germany's Regensburg University in 2006 after become pope; this address created a firestorm of controversy. Benedict makes no blanket condemnation of Islam, but understands that there is no single group or individual that has the authority to speak for all of Islam. As a result radical Islamists cherry-pick the Koran and Mohammed’s sayings to justify violence and murder. I doubt this outpouring of contempt surprised him any more than the hatred spewed by the militant atheists and secularists that protested his UK visit. Hatred makes strange bedfellows!

"The slaves of Allah confront the slave of Satan" ---> Now, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? Or something like that. And I'll behave myself and leave it at that! : )
