The 2010 Northern Virginia Buddy Walk will take place, rain or shine, on Saturday, September 25 at the Bull Run Regional Park. The Buddy Walk, expected to draw over 2000 participants, will be a short walk followed by a large festival celebrating people who have Down syndrome along with their families and friends. By participating in the Buddy Walk, you will help make a difference in the lives of individuals with Down syndrome. Each step you take and each dollar you raise will help the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia provide important services that enhance the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. More importantly, your participation will help promote understanding and acceptance of all individuals with Down syndrome.
The Buddy Walk festivities will feature live entertainment including Rocknoceros, Fives, rock climbing wall, bungee bouncer, mini golf, moon bounce inflatables, pony rides, cartoon characters, a petting zoo, face painters, an exhibitor tent, food vendors, police cars, fire trucks and much more.
