Online art resources for kids - Metropolitan Museum of Art

This is just a snippet of resources available to your family to give your children more knowledge of art (and perhaps you too - I learned most of what I know as a homeschooling mother trying to learn more to pass on to my kids).  I love the multi-disciplinary approach.

Access biographical materials on a selection of artists as well as general information about their work:

The Dancers and Degas
Join special guests on a visit to the galleries and find out what dancers can tell us about Edgar Degas. Listen, look, and create your own sketch in this fun activity for all ages.

How Van Gogh Made His Mark
This interactive exploration of four landscape drawings introduces young visitors to the creative genius of Van Gogh the draftsman.
