Catholic Vote - why Catholics must vote
Catholic Vote created this video before we elected to the presidency the most anti-life president ever. Obama voted to withhold medical help from babies who survived abortion - it doesn't get much worse than that.
Yes, there are foolish, rebellious Catholics who look at our beloved church like a smorgasbord, where they can pick and choose the teachings they wish to follow. Catholics have heard clearly from the Pope, bishops and our local churches that you cannot be a Catholic in good standing and vote for a pro-abortion candidate. And yet they do. They disgrace our church parking lots with Obama bumper stickers. They are an embarrassment to those of us who remain true to church teachings.
I apologize for them and continue to pray - and thank God for strong organizations like Catholic Vote, which produces beautiful work like this:

So true. This is perhaps the most important time to make sure we get out there and vote to get abortion out of office. We need to remember why we are Catholic and make sure we VOTE Catholic. Thanks Barbara.

Catholic Vote is a great organization; thanks for continuing to highlight them!
I'm very proud that we have more and more church leaders who are really stepping up to the plate with respect to spelling out what it means to be a Catholic in the public square, what our foundational beliefs are (and have been since the beginning!) and what is less important or even mere chaff. I don't know how any Catholic can say any longer, "I didn't know! How was I supposed to know that's what 'voting Catholic' meant?" You're hiding your head in the sand if you don't get the message...
