Another reason to sing with your kids

The more and the earlier you sing with them, the more and the earlier they will sing.

God will take care of you

Unless your baby's first complete sentence is: "Mommy, you sing baaad."

Now I only sing to interject humor into situations.

Love it! Thanks for sharing. My two year old has started singing along to his bedtime lullaby, which is awfully sweet. This is inspiring me to sing with my kids even more. :)

Brought tears to my eyes- so sweet! I've been singing with my girls since they were in the womb and now they sing with joy everywhere they go! Praise God!

So utterly sweet. That was just gorgeous.

I grew up in a community where singing is very important and little ones basically started learning the songs from birth. Out of hundreds of people in the community, there were only a few who had trouble carrying a tune.

I have wished I could carry that on with my children, but circumstances have changed. I try to sing with them, and teach them songs, whenever I can, but it's just not the same. :(

It was kind of stunning though, when my then-18 month old learned the tune and a few of the words to amazing grace. I was teaching his older brothers, and hadn't thought he was old enough to catch on. Well, one day he was nursing and humming as was his habit, and I realized he was humming "Amazing grace". And for a long time after that, it was his nursing "theme song".
