NY Archbishop Dolan new USCCB president
Conservative Catholics are rejoicing over the selection of Archbishop Dolan of New York as head of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), which has been under fire for funding pro-homosexual, pro-abortion and anti-Catholic organizations with funds collected from dutiful Catholics the Sunday after Thanksgiving for a special Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).Archbishop Dolan's election over the sitting USCCB Vice-President was an upset akin to the November 2 elections - and signals a shift to traditionalism at top leadership levels within the US church.
Thanking God this morning.
Archbishop Timothy Dolan is handed the crozier during the Mass of Installation at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York April 15, 2009.

YES YES YES!
Thank you! I had not heard this yet! Maybe we can finally get some reform (or at least honestly address the elephant in the room) with the CCHD!
