Toddler beds

I want to thank the reader who remembered to link through MommyLife to purchase a toddler bed from Amazon. I kid you not - there is very little you can't buy from Amazon for great prices and often free shipping. I have been using Amazon for 12 years to save time and money and stress.

I think parents invest in a toddler bed as a transition between the security of a crib and a "big-boy" or "big-girl" bed. The bed is smaller and closer to the floor, so giving the child independence with a little more security.

If you already have a twin size bed and want to skip the toddler bed, there are things you can do to make it more secure and safe:
