Curtis Family update

singing frog.jpg Dashing out the door to take Maddy to her audition for the Washington National Opera - the summer Opera Institute. It's 90 minutes from us, so that will take up most of the day.

Tonight we will be going to see Matt's performance in The Wedding Singer. Sophia and Josh Head are here to see it too.

Also tonight Jonny and Jesse are going to Herndon for a Valentines Dance for highschoolers with disabilities sponsored by Young Life Capernaum. Right now all the Downzers are at a Special Olympics basketball tournament at Hoops Magic.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do feel torn in a million directions. This is why you hardly ever see Tripp and me together. Our kids needs tend to take us in different directions. If you have a big family, you know what I mean - ships passing in the night.

Love,

Sounds like a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.....I wish I was a fly on the wall. Life is good.

"Ships passing in the night"... I love it. It perfectly describes this house, and my husband and me, too.

Blessings on your day!

While you and Tripp may be "ships passing the night," it still seems like you have a loving, solid marriage. When our ten were growing up, it was the same way. Our kids would often have games at the same time, so we would split up, so at least one of us could be there. When there were three games being played at the same time...well, then, that was a problem. But, at least our kids saw that we tried to support them by being there. Praise God, my husband and I have a good, fun marriage, but we're STILL tired most of the time. Now, we have g'kids, and I'm seeing lots of T ball games in my future.
