More random Curtis pictures
More -even more random - pictures:
As I drive the kids down to the bus stop each morning, we're occasionally treated to this spectacular view as a red rising sun illuminated the currently barren trees on the Blue Ridge Mountains.
I've always wanted to get a picture of it, but never had my big ol' SLR camera. Since Tripp got me a teensy digital camera to carry in my purse, I now have no excuse not to take a picture.
I'm not going to lie. I thought this was presumptuous/funny/sad/poignant..
Josh and Sophia came up last weekend so they could go with us to see Matt's opening in The Wedding Singer - keep in mind how they looked two weeks before in The Mikado:
Jonny and Jesse dressed up to go to the Valentines Day dance at Capernaum Ministry. I wish I could share some pictures, but I don't have photo releases. Tripp went with them and said it was a huge success. Capernaum in a branch of Young Life, a Christian group open to all high school students, Capernaum is a group aimed at high schoolers with disabilities. Jonny and Jesse go to once-a-month social events at Cornerstone Church in Leesburg, where they see all their friends. The Valentines Dance was a much bigger event, which included the Capernaum groups from all over northern Virginia.
Very cool.
My oldest grandson, Tim and Maddy drove down to Lynchburg together today. Tim was born in between Jonny and Maddy, who are a year apart. The three of them have grown up very close, but Jonny has basketball practice tomorrow and we are going to see The Weeding Singer again, so he stayed home.
Tim is trying out for a soccer scholarship at Liberty University tomorrow and is spending the night at Josh Head's place. Maddy will spend the night at Sophia's (they both live off campus to save money). A mini road trip, but Samantha and I felt better that they were traveling together.
