Stink bug invasion 2011 begins - pesticide
All those stink bugs who crept through every available opening to get into our house last fall are making their comeback as the metro area is enjoying some unseasonably warm weather.
Last night I woke around 2 and couldn't sleep so started reading. A stink bug appeared on my headboard and I crushed it without thinking.
Big mistake. After all, I knew that the stink of an upset stink bug brings more stink bugs flocking to see what's going on. Next thing I knew they were dive bombing onto my pillow and into my hair. I got a plastic bag to push them into - they are ridiculously easy to catch, but then what to do with them? Since I was reading in bed, it seemed like the sensible thing to do.
In the next hour, I collected 29 - 29! - stinkbugs. And you can imagine how much my adrenaline was pumping and how unlikely it was that I could go back to sleep. Which meant I needed to read, but as long as the light was on, they weren't going to leave me alone.
AAARRRGGGHHH!
I noticed someone has already bought Talstar through my Amazon link, so I must not be the only one having problems. So rerunning this:
Last year I went into their background. See Stink Bugs: All you never wanted to know. They were a nuisance beyond mild but not yet threatening the quality of life.Well, now my life quality is on the line - I'm ready for war. Found an exterminator's advice: How To Get Rid of Stinkbugs. He recommends Talstar, which I am buying from Amazon. And with the way this year's invasion is growing, if I had any money, I'd invest in Talstar
