Teaching kids about feelings
I ran this on my giveaway page some time ago - but I was reminded of it the other day when I took Jesse, Daniel and Justin for an intake interview at Jill's House. The intake worker and I were talking about how difficult it is sometimes for kids with special needs - and kids in general - to talk about their feelings.
This is the best answer to the problem I've seen:

What a great DVD!
From The Mother Company:
Ruby's Studio: The Feelings Show aims to help preschool-aged children learn to recognize, express and move through their feelings. Join Ruby on a fun, magical journey through art projects, animation, original songs and hilariously insightful interviews with real kids.I sat and watched this with my kids not once, but twice - and could watch it again. It's cheerful, bright and instructive without being preachy. It shows rather than tells. The production values are topnotch and it has so much variety that children will not be bored.
But the main draw is the help it will give your children in sorting through and verbalizing their feelings - and you know how the ability to talk through feelings can take away a lot of the confusion and scariness.
I plan to send this in to my kids Special Ed teachers.

Barbara,
I was the winner of this DVD. I haven't yet had a chance to watch it, but I really want to thank you for running the give-away.
Best regards,
Sara
